The Mirka 32mm Vinyl-Faced Backing Plate is a must have for tight-area sanding & polishing tasks. When mounted to compact rotary or random orbital machines, these plates eliminate much of the difficulty and stress commonly associated with critical tight-area work. 

Also available with a Velcro Face here.

These backing plates feature 1/4-20 female plastic threads.
Backing plates with re-sized threads can be found here.

In most cases, you will need an adaptor or extension to install this plate onto your machine. We offer adaptors and extensions here.

These backing plates feature an exact diameter of 29mm.
They were originally designed for use with 32mm diameter sanding rosettes.
PSA (peel and stick) Sanding Rosettes can be found here.

Notes:
1. To avoid damaging the threads, do not overtighten or repeatedly install/reinstall the backing plate.
2. To date, there have been no reports of thread failures on any of the plates that I've sold.

995.001 | 1-1/4" Diameter Velcro-Face Backing Plate.

Rupes BigFoot iBrid Nano Multi-Function Polishers can be used for a multitude of tasks, but its trio of backing plates must be in tip-top shape. After extended use, the factory supplied backing plates can degrade. An accidental dropping of the machine can bend or break a plate. You'll be dead in the water unless you've got a replacement Nano Backing Plate on hand.

This 1-1/4" Velcro-Face Backing Plate fits all HR81M & HR81ML BigFoot iBrid Nano Polishers.

The Rupes LD30 30mm Air-Powered Orbital Denibber is capable of topping out at 7,500 oscillations per minute, which can really tax its tiny backing plate. Should a backing plate sustain damage due to an inadvertent dropping of the machine or some other unforseen event, you'll be dead in the water unless you've got a replacement on hand. The 9P06.060 is a factory-direct replacement for the vinyl-faced backing plate that was originally shipped with the machine.
