Even worse: the Nano's delicate composite internal gears may BREAK due to the strain.<br/><br/>In an attempt to install the 2" backing plate onto the rotary module, some Nano users have chosen to remove the protective shroud to eliminate the clearance issue. Rupes BigFoot iBrid Nano Multi-Function Polishers can be used for a multitude of tasks, but its trio of backing plates must be in tip-top shape. After extended use, the factory supplied backing plates can degrade. An accidental dropping of the machine can bend or break a plate. You'll be dead in the water unless you've got a replacement Nano Backing Plate on hand.

This 2" Velcro-Face Backing Plate fits all HR81M & HR81ML BigFoot iBrid Nano Polishers.
